Summer 2026 Specialized Intensives

This summer, Ivy Speech Arts Academy is proud to offer our most diverse curriculum yet! Our specialized half-day intensives are designed to turn students into well-rounded, "360-degree" performers. With rotating themes every week, students can "Mix & Match" sessions to master everything performance related.

THE CURRICULUM:

3 WAYS TO SHINE

1. Speech Writing & Debate "The Art of Persuasion"

Find your voice and master the art of persuasion! This intensive focuses on the fundamentals of public speaking and structured debate. Students learn to research topics, build logical arguments, and deliver them with confidence. Grade 5 and up will be working on debate, and grade 4 and below will focus on speech writing.

  • Key Skill: Critical thinking, vocal projection, and persuasive delivery.

2. Improvisation & Sketch Comedy "From Instant Idea to the Stage"

In this high-energy lab, students learn the "SNL" method of comedy. We start with fast-paced improv games to generate hilarious ideas, then learn how to "bottle" that lightning by writing those ideas into original comedy sketches.

  • Key Skill: Spontaneity, script structure, and comedic timing.

3. Film & Voiceover Acting "The Digital Performer"

Acting for the lens and the microphone requires a completely different skill set than the stage. Students will learn the subtlety of "acting for the close-up" and the technical art of voiceover for animation, commercials, and narration.

  • Key Skill: Subtle expression, microphone technique, and "on-set" etiquette.

PRICING & "ENCORE" DISCOUNTS

  • Standard Rate: $250 + HST per half-day camp.

  • Prorated Holiday Rate (Week 5): $200 + HST per half-day camp.

  • The Multi-Camp Discount: Save 5% on every additional camp you register for!

  • Full-Day Experience: Register for both Morning and Afternoon sessions in a single week for a full-day experience with supervised lunch (12:00 PM – 1:00 PM) included.
